home-made doggy treat Happy National Dog Day!! Our pups are a part of the Natural Life Family so we had to celebrate with some yummy treats! They went crazy for the Peanut Butter Banana Treats and Pupsicles... I mean, how can you not with that combo? Each one was so easy to make and the best part is... you don't have to worry about getting dog hair in them! See below for the ingredients and directions! We got these awesome bone and paw shaped molds from Amazon.

PEANUT BUTTER BANANA DOG TREATS

INGREDIENTS:

  • 3 cups old fashioned oats
  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil

    DIRECTIONS:

    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
    2. In a large bowl, combine oats, bananas, peanut butter and coconut oil (It's easiest to just mush it up with your hands... plus, your dog will gladly lick them clean!)
    3. Spoon the batter into the molds
    4. Place into oven and bake about 10-12 minutes
    5. Let cool completely.

Peanut Butter Pupsicles

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 cups plain yogurt
  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter
  • Skinny treats to use as the sticks (we used Dogwell and cut them shorter)

    DIRECTIONS:

    1. Put all ingredients into bowl and again, it's easiest to just mash it up with your hands
    2. Fill the molds
    3. Position the treat in the middle (cut shorter if it's tipping over)
    4. Place in the freezer for 2-4 hours (check in about 30 minutes to make sure the treats are still sticking up)
    5. Pop out of the tray and let your pup go to town!!
